Stone Coasters have been busy getting involved and volunteering with several local organizations over the past few weeks! ☀ Some of these opportunities have included… 🏝 Clearing hiking trails and re-roofing a shed with Maine Island Trail Association on the Helen and Walter Norton Preserve on Birch Island 🔨 Performing various tasks at the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland build site such as window sealing, building stairs, and framing the second floor 🍎 Volunteering with Young & Established in Evansville, IN to provide individuals with food, hygiene essentials, and free clothing all donated by partnering organizations Stone Coast offers employees 2 paid community service days. May Community Service Days Recap 🔄 : Stone Coasters were busy in the month of May getting involved and volunteering with several local organizations! These opportunities included… 🖌 Helping Ketcha Outdoors in Scarborough prepare for their upcoming summer camp programs by painting, mulching, weed-whacking, and fence disassembly. 💐 Volunteering at the Dempsey Center Clayton House in Portland to help spruce up their outdoors after the winter season including weeding in the gardens, power washing, sweeping and raking, setting up outdoor furniture and general clean up. 🌉 Rebuilding two trail bridges along the Presumpscot River Preserve with Portland Trails Stone Coast offers employees 2 paid community service days.
