We’re thrilled to announce the opening of La Ramona Family Interim Housing Community this week! This marks a new chapter for St. Joseph Center as La Ramona becomes our first entirely owned and operated housing site. Located in the heart of the Jefferson Park neighborhood, the Project Homekey site offers interim housing for up to 19 families who are awaiting permanent homes. La Ramona provides a holistic suite of services, from employment training and credit repair to legal assistance, mental health support, food assistance, and dedicated family services. Thank you to our entire SJC family, supporters and partners for making this milestone possible! Learn more: https://conta.cc/48wPbNP

About us
Our mission is to provide working poor families as well as homeless men, women, and children of all ages with the inner resources and tools to become productive, stable and self- supporting members of the community. St. Joseph Center has been meeting the needs of low-income and homeless individuals and families since 1976. Today, our programs reach more than 10,000 people annually across Los Angeles County. The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves those in need without regard for religious affiliation or lack thereof. Comprehensive case management, mental health, and integrated social service programs are carried out at multiple sites in Los Angeles County, with major service centers located on the Westside and in South LA. St. Joseph Center provides clients with concentrated and coordinated access to a range of services according to the nature of their needs. Our current efforts cover: •Outreach & Engagement: Street-based multidisciplinary teams, walk-in centers, and food assistance service help homeless and low-income men, women, and children access housing and other resources that lead to self-sufficiency. •Housing: Permanent Supportive Housing and Rapid Re-Housing services assist homeless families and individuals to obtain and maintain housing stability. •Mental Health: Therapy and other forms of support help clients impacted by mental health issues lead fuller, more independent lives. •Education & Vocational Training: Job programs and educational efforts equip adults and children with the knowledge and tools to make progress in the workplace and in life.
