Last week, Governor Polis proclaimed Aug. 29 as Lived Experiences Day! The day is all about sharing and learning about those in our communities, so Colorado can continue to be an inclusive and equitable place to be—a Colorado For All. The proclamation reminds us that storytelling is a useful tool to help grow our understanding and acceptance of all Colorado communities. Celebrate by engaging a friend, co-worker, partner, neighbor, relative, local business owner, or fellow commuter, and ask them about their story. It’s that simple!

Colorado's Plan to Spend Historic Broadband Funding is Approved by the NTIA Last year, Colorado learned it would receive $826 million from the federal #Broadband, Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program to build and expand broadband networks and connect unserved and underserved residents. Since then, the Colorado Broadband Office has been developing a strategy for investing this significant amount of money. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) approved Colorado’s plan for BEAD funding! This means the state can now open the Advance Colorado Broadband grant program for BEAD applications. It's time for BEAD funding to begin creating meaningful change for the residents of Colorado!
