Plus, mental health is something we all need to prioritize. The hustle can be intense, and it’s easy to let stress and anxiety take over. By talking openly about these issues, we not only help ourselves but also create a culture where everyone feels supported. Sharing our experiences and challenges can lead to valuable insights that help us all grow stronger, both as entrepreneurs and as a community. I really encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities! Marc Andreessen’s 2 reasons for why founder-run companies are harder to disrupt “If you just look historically at many of the important technology companies of the last 50-100 years, many of them are run by their founders for decades… And a lot of it has to do with disruption.” Marc continues: “There’s this cliché of founders that a lot of people believe which is that founders are too stubborn and founders get too locked into their original idea and they can’t adapt as times change. We’ve actually found the opposite to be true. We’ve found that when a company is going to get disrupted, the person in many cases with the best odds of countering the disruption is the founder, and I think there’s a couple of different reasons for that.” The two reasons Marc shares are: 1. The founder remembers when the business was nothing, and are constantly haunted by the fact that the business could be a zero again: “The founder remembers what it was like when there was nobody else in the office with you and when you carried out your own trash can. The founder remembers this thing used to be zero.” 2. The founder carries enormous moral weight inside the company and can more easily make drastic changes: “When Steve Jobs goes into Apple and says times are changing we need to do X - and X is heresy… A Steve jobs - a founder - is going to be able to convince the company that they have to do that. Whereas if a professional CEO shows up and says that, everybody’s going to be like, ‘Ooh, I don’t know.’” Video source: Startup Grind (2016)

Director of Customer Success, Startups | I help companies transform customer engagement into revenue
Where does CSAT, product market fit and references to Drake/Kendrick beefs intersect? At #StartupSummit2024! MASSIVE gratitude to Startup Grind for hosting me for a session at this year's event. I've gotten to connect with some fantastic #founders about how they can leverage text analysis from their customer feedback to supercharge their investor pitches. Remember, when it comes to finding your market fit just do as Drake does: know yourself know your worth 🦉

INBOUND 2024 was fantastic! 👏🏼 I made tons of new friends and reconnected with old ones. A highlight was hanging out and playing table tennis with our Startup Grind Boston Director, Jason Kraus. A big shoutout to Kelsey Aina, Walter Mannino, Rafael Obando, and everyone on their teams for creating such incredible experiences for founders during the conference, and sharing wonderful conversations with me. 🧡 I also got to meet Brian Halligan, who is such a cool guy with some amazing dance moves! I had great conversations with many other awesome HubSpot folks from different teams, like Adriano Di Palma, and Fadwa Eddarbouch. Yamini Rangan, Josh D'Amaro, Dane Vahey, Dr. Vrnda ‘V’ Boykin, Serena Williams and Kara Swisher were incredibly inspiring, just like many other speakers. David Spade had us all laughing and really built the hype for Ryan Reynolds as the closing guest speaker. Hats off to the HubSpot Million Dollar Pitch Competition and HubSpot Ventures team! I loved Chase Ink's booth— it was such an amazing opportunity for entrepreneurs. Great job Cristian Cevallos-Fresco and Kim Morales! I also went to HubSpot Creators after party and got to meet Omar Rodriguez, Tamika Faulkner, Alanah Joseph, and Marie Shehadi. Atlassian, Apollo.io, Typeform, CallRail, and HubSpot Latin America also hosted kickass happy hour events. Thanks a lot Sara Lieber, Victor Alcone, Daniel Sandler, Anna-Katharina Claesson, Jennifer Keepes, Ana Pelina, Shelley P., and many more. Thank you for the good times and company, my great friends, Marcelo, Melissa, Charles, Haydeé, Andrew, Alina, Mónica, Allie, Andrew, Nicole, and many more. What an amazing conference and powerful community! I’m super excited about the future of marketing and AI. Can’t wait to see you all again soon! #keepgrinding
