According to the Center for American Progress, “Inequities in socioeconomic and daily living conditions generate adverse outcomes that persist throughout the lifespan, but the birth through age 6 period can serve as a unique opportunity for intervention; in these years, children’s susceptibility to influential early experiences can be harnessed to support long-term wellbeing.” SPFC invites you to a community dialogue hosted in partnership with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, focusing on how addressing social determinants of health, including healthcare, food security, and policy, can support the positive development of our children and promote health equity in our community. Join us for a panel discussion moderated by SPFC CEO Jennifer Yeagley, highlighting the insights of community leaders followed by facilitated dialogue during which YOU can discuss and determine action steps anyone can take to support healthy, thriving children and communities. Dialogue panelists include: -Suzanne Icely, M.D. Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital -Kimberly Brown-Williams, Executive Director, Achieving Equity Together, Inc. -Shaina Bent, Chief Operations Officer, SPFC -Becca Tieder, Director of Public Policy, Juvenile Welfare Board RSVP HERE: https://lnkd.in/emk4MDBr Sponsored by Florida Blue. Serve people. Feed compassion.
About us
St. Petersburg Free Clinic, Inc. is a multi-service, independent, not-for-profit human services agency. With compassion and respect, St. Pete Free Clinic changes lives by providing health care, nutritious food, recovery housing, and education for our neighbors in need throughout Pinellas County, Florida for over 50 years. Founded in 1970, St. Petersburg Free Clinic began as a single walk-in medical facility that provided basic health care services to people without health insurance and without the means to provide adequate health care for themselves and their families. In subsequent years, as additional needs of the community have been identified, it has expanded its services, becoming a multi-service, multi-site agency to address the need for food, supportive housing and health care.

THANK YOU, Kast Construction, Rightway Plumbing, Sherwin-Williams, Tri-City Electric, Burkett, GRIT Construction, Keystone, Horizon, and IOS, for your hard work on this addition to our Prescription Health Program! We're incredibly grateful for our community coming together to support SPFC; these upgrades will help us better serve our patients as the need continues to grow.
KAST is proud to support the St. Petersburg Free Clinic with a contribution from the Kolter/KAST Havana Nights and providing a recent upgrade to an important area of their medication room at the health clinic which benefits many patients of the program. The SPFC Prescription Health Program (PHP) ensures patients can access expensive medications, like insulin, at no cost to them. PHP patients do not have to make the choice between paying their rent or getting the medication they need to live. Last year, the PHP Program provided more than 3 million dollars in prescription support and 6,000 patient encounters, more than double the level of service provided the prior year. The number of patients SPFC serves is significantly increasing, and the addition of the medication room allows us to better meet the growing needs of those who rely on us as their home for healthcare. We are also thankful to several of our trade partners who helped with the upgrades: Tri-City Electric, Rightway Plumbing, Burkett, GRIT Construction, Keystone, Sherwin Williams, Horizon, and IOS. Teamwork makes the dream work!
