About us
Mission To accelerate the advancement and expand the influence of women leaders of all professions and generations, strengthen our business community, and support the region’s non-profit organizations. Vision To create a balance in leadership by increasing the number of women in power throughout business, non-profit and government sectors. The Main Line Society of Professional Women was launched in May 2009 to fill a need for a professional organization available for women and businesses of all industries, sizes, and generations in the Main Line Region. The Society of Professional Women (SPW) enhances personal and professional development by offering engaging programs, networking opportunities and a welcoming forum to share experiences and insights. Central to SPW’s mission is giving back to the community, so at each event, a non-profit organization is featured and has an opportunity to share its mission with a crowd of more than 200 professionals. To date, SPW, along with its attendees have donated over $80,000 and much-needed items to these critical non-profits. SPW has been dubbed the “Regions Sold Out Success.” No one could have predicted its rapid growth — from 450 names on an original email list to 1,400 names in the first three months alone. SPW’s membership now exceeds 5,000 and has been consecutively named the largest female networking organization in the region by the Philadelphia Business Journal. To meet the growing needs of its members, SPW launched additional initiatives including Lunch & Share Conversations and the Women Helping Women mentoring program. SPW is proud to be helping women grow their careers and engage in meaningful ways in the community where we work and play. Interested in learning more? We’d love to hear from you!
