We’d like to extend huge congratulations to longtime HIOBS Board Member, and the Chairman and CEO of Spinnaker Real Estate Partners, 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿, for being recognized as the 2023 𝗞𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗵𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 by Outward Bound last week! ✨ The Kurt Hahn Award, established by the Outward Bound USA Board of Directors in 1982, is the highest form of recognition conferred by Outward Bound. Recipients make contributions through a life's work on behalf of others, in ways that embody the spirit of Hahn's approach to education. Clay’s journey with Outward Bound started on a winter course with Voyageur Outward Bound School while in college at Princeton, and he became an instructor in our Florida sea program in the mid-1970s. Since then, he has continued to contribute through both regional and national Board service, serving on the HIOBS Board for close to 20 years to date, and was a steward of the Outward Bound Center for Peacebuilding, which works in local communities to challenge and inspire emerging leaders to work together to build peace. One of the great 'Outward Bounders' of our time, Clay continues to contribute to both HIOBS and Outward Bound in many ways, and we are grateful for his generous time, dedication, and commitment to our mission!

Last week we spoke with Yale School of Architecture about various aspects of development, including real-world challenges in new construction and financing. Our New Haven Coliseum project served as a prime local case study. It was an excellent chance to exchange insights, highlight best practices, and showcase our significant redevelopment situated near Yale's campus.
