#SpecialAcademy with artworxLA kicked off earlier this month with our creative minded, non traditional high school students. Each week the students are introduced to a creative discipline within the advertising process. Olivia Campbell kicked us off with the importance of a brand POV. Followed by Adhemas Batista showing us of the purpose of design and Ray Smiling reminding us that creative storytelling isn’t just about cool stuff but intentional choices. Inspiration is a critical part of creativity so we can’t forget our phenomenal speakers who give a piece of themselves every time they share their story. From Justin Barnette sharing the many roads taken and Domo Wells opening about her home life before making the creative leap. These stories remind us of the creative possibilities despite circumstances. 3 sessions down, 3 more to go!
