Well-deserved recognition for SACA Board of Directors Chairman, Kyle Amor Congratulations Kyle!
Leader in Strategic Sourcing and Management | DE&I catalyst and ERG champion | Community improvement advocate |
Yesterday I had the high honor of being presented with the Alumni Citizenship award on behalf of Thaddeus Stevens College. The award is presented to a single recipient once a year by the alumni association and is awarded to alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to humanity by having performed significant voluntary service to their community beyond the call of business or professional duty. I was truly humbled to have not only been nominated and selected, but also to have my family present in the audience. Throughout my personal and professional journey one of my biggest intrinsic motivators has been to build a legacy my family past and present can be proud of. I’m thankful not only to Joseph Wysock III, MBA, CHC, CHFM Pedro A. Rivera Ed.D and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology but to the Lancaster community for allowing me to do my part in being a catalyst for change in creating a society for future generations that reflects equal opportunities and resources for marginalized communities. Lastly, a special shoutout to a professor that inspired change within me, but also never gave up on me by challenging me to live to the potential he saw. Dr. Vincent E. Miles could have easily pivoted his focus to other students that were more engaged, respectful of his time, and quite frankly more mature than I was at the time, but he held me accountable when I needed it, and highlighted gaps in my performance that influenced my journey of change and improvement. Without professors like Dr Miles, institutions like Thaddeus Stevens, and a community like Lancaster, many other like me would be telling a far less fortunate story, so with that I thank them all. #HigherEducation #Lancaster #ThaddeusStevens #Alumni
