As we wrap up the month of August, we want to shine a spotlight on our five Summer 2024 interns! Timothy Lou is a master’s student at Boston University studying material science & engineering. This summer he focused on the material characterization at SpadXTech and looking at the different standards for commercial applications. Ashley Rabbitt Rabbit is a rising senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute pursuing her BS in biomedical engineering. This summer she helped researching various processing steps as well as served as a laboratory assistant to our Director of Operations, Azka Siddiq. Dhespina Zhidro is a rising senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute pursuing a double major in biomedical and mechanical engineering. This summer she assisted in building SpadXTech's online presence, customer discovery, as well as assisted our Director of Operations, Azka Siddiq with laboratory work. Chinmayee Prabhakar is an international student pursuing a Master’s in Robotics and Automation Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. This summer, she focused on automating and streamlining tasks to help our research scientists and improving efficiency of laboratory equipment. Hiba Khan is a rising senior at Worcester Polytechnic Institute pursuing her BS/ME in biomedical engineering. This summer she worked on different sustainable colors as well as assisting our Director of Operations, Azka Siddiq. We want to thank our interns for all of their effort they put into their tasks and projects this summer as we wish them the best of luck stepping into their next academic year! These five interns from interdisciplinary fields and diverse backgrounds were financially supported by MassCEC Internships Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC), Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. #Internship #Sustainability #Diversity #WomeninSTEM ⚗🧠🌍👩🔬
