South Plains Electric Cooperative (SPEC) is an electricity provider headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, serving 50,000 meters in 18 counties. There are many qualities that give not-for-profit electric cooperatives an advantage over other types of utilities and businesses. New Employee Highlight: Angie Mohon, IT Support Analyst I This year, instead of just welcoming our newest group of employees on social media, we are highlighting them so you can really get to know them. Meet Angie! Angie worked with us as a part-time employee and decided she loved it here, so she moved to a full-time employee. We are lucky to have her at the office more! We love Angie, and Angie loves us! In fact, her favorite part of working at SPEC are the people. In her free time, she likes to cookout and spend time with her beautiful family and pets Chloe and Littlebit. Please help us welcome Angie to the Co-op Family!

New Employee Highlight: Spencer Reeder, Apprentice Lineman This year, instead of just welcoming our newest group of employees on social media, we are highlighting them so you can really get to know them. Meet Spencer. Spencer moved to Lubbock to be closer to family. We are now glad to have him as part of our Cooperative family. He is originally from California, and his favorite place to vacation is the beach! He also enjoys camping, backpacking and hunting. His precious dog’s name is Mistie. His favorite part of the job so far is learning something new every day. His favorite part about living in Lubbock so far is Texas Tech football (he learns quickly 😊) and the friendly people here. We are so excited to welcome Spencer to the Co-op!
