🎉🥇 We are extremely proud to announce that Jesús Caballero Pinto, CEO of SOF Connect JSC - the operator of Sofia Airport, has received the highest award "Manager of the Year 2024" in the competition of Мениджър magazine and Deloitte! 🏆✨ SOF Connect won not only the Grand Prize, but also the special recognition in the category "Best New Business" 🥇 at the 17th edition of the prestigious contest for senior management achievements in Bulgaria. At the official ceremony at the Sofia Opera and Ballet 🎭, President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev 🇧🇬 personally presented the statuette to Mr. Caballero. 💬 "This is the greatest recognition for my team! My mission is to turn Sofia Airport into a regional hub and the first five-star airport in Europe. We will have a very modern airport that will contribute to the competitiveness of the country. I didn’t believe that in one year I would have twice the occasion to say how special I feel. The first time was when we celebrated Bulgaria's entry into Schengen by air. 🌍✨ Sofia Airport joined the Global Compact Network Bulgaria’s “Proud of My Parents' Work” initiative for the third consecutive year! 💼👩✈️👨🔧   This year, children of employees from SOF Connect, Aviation Services Holding, Aero Technic BG, and the airport’s fire department were welcomed to explore where their parents work, with a tour that included the apron and airfield. 🚀✈️   A highlight was the visit to the airport fire department, where kids, including children of our brave firefighters, marveled at firefighters dressed for action, experienced the powerful spray of the fire truck, and even had the chance to pull the hose lever themselves! 🚒💦👧👦   These moments filled us with pride as we showcased the dedication of our colleagues and inspired the next generation. 💙🌟   #SofiaAirport #SOFConnect ✈️ #ProudOfMyParentsWork 👨👩👧👦 #UNGlobalCompact #AviationServices #AeroTechnic

The platform will be part of the airport’s photovoltaic park project ☀️, which is already under design. 🛠️   🚪 Today, on the Day of aviation and Air Force, we are hosting an Open Day at Sofia Airport! 🛫 Spotters and aviation lovers are getting unique access to various locations around the airport, including the airfield 🛬. They have the opportunity to capture spectacular moments 📸 of aircraft take-offs and landings, and experience the behind-the-scenes airport operations! Our guests also had a visit to the firefighting team 🔥🚒, and learned about the specialized vehicle that measures runway grip and braking force. 🛣️🔧   We’re excited to continue sharing the magic of aviation with you! 🎉✈️
