Big News here at Sobriety Now! We are proud and excited to share a significant milestone in our journey to provide unparalleled addiction recovery services. Sobriety Now has been awarded Behavioral Health Care Accreditation - The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Healthcare and Human Services Accreditation. This achievement marks a testament to our unwavering commitment to high-quality care and operational excellence. Following an intensive onsite review in November 2023, we've demonstrated continuous compliance with the Joint Commission’s rigorous standards, particularly in areas critical to our mission – medication management, clinical management, and the implementation of evidence-based practices. These standards are meticulously developed with inputs from healthcare professionals, providers, measurement experts, and, importantly, patients themselves. This accreditation is more than a badge of honor; it's a pledge to our dedication. We remain committed to serving the Philadelphia community, offering not just care, but hope and a path to recovery that's both compassionate and effective. Thank you to our incredible team for their hard work and dedication. Your efforts make all the difference. And to our community in the City of Brotherly Love, we look forward to continuing to support you and your loved ones on the journey to recovery. Let's celebrate this achievement together as we look forward to making even more significant strides in the future. #SobrietyNow #JointCommissionAccreditation #BehavioralHealthcare #HumanServices #AddictionRecovery #PhiladelphiaCommunity

Happy Friday one and all! Whether you are filled with anticipation or feeling a little blue this holiday season, know that you are worthy of recovery and kindness. In Just For Today, it says “In recovery, we’ve come to believe that we’re here for a reason: to love ourselves and to love others. In working the Twelve Steps, we have learned to accept ourselves. With that self-acceptance has come self-respect. We have seen that everything we do has an effect on others; we are a part of the lives of those around us, and they of ours. We’ve begun to trust other people and to acknowledge our responsibility to them. […] Just for Today: O have found a new way to live. Today, I will seek to serve others with love and love myself.” We hope that you take time to give kindness to yourself and others this weekend. As always, take care and stay well ✨ • • • • • • • • #wedorecover #addictionrecovery #addictiontreatmentcenter #philly #philadelphia #sober #sobriety

With the holiday season in full swing, we will be dishing out a smaller list of Sober-Friendly Events tomorrow in lieu of sharing coping skills throughout the rest of the year! Today we are starting out with some tips for dealing with Family Stress. Take the time to be open and direct with your family. Tell them what you need this year. Remember that, even though they are family, they don’t have a say. Prioritize yourself this holiday season. Then, with planning, attention, and restraint, we can make the holidays go as smoothly as possible. ✨ And sometimes, we even get to savor the gifts of food and connection with people we love. ✨

Aaaaannnnd we made it! Another week of taking it one day at a time, of doing the next right thing, and we’re grateful for the community we get to spend those days with. For those of you celebrating Hanukkah, we hope the start of your holiday is filled with love and light. ✨🕎💜 This is truly just a sample of what is going on in Philly this weekend, but it’s safe to say the city is officially getting into the holiday spirit! There’s art (think seasonal fun like ice sculptures) and holiday markets in pretty much every corner of the city, a great way to support your local community and maybe find that last minute gift you’ve been looking for 👀 If something a little ~creepy~ is more your vibe, check out Merriment at the Mütter or the Nightmare Before Christmas GayBingo! Regardless of how you decide to spend your weekend, stay safe and be well! • • • • • • • • #wedorecover #addictionrecovery #sobriety #soberlife #sobercurious #addictiontreatment #substanceusedisorder #philly #philadelphia

November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance (or TDOR). Today, we honor the memory of those in the trans community lost to violence and hate. "For transgender individuals, rates and risk factors of addiction are considerably higher than those of their LGBT and straight peers [...] There are as many as 25 million transgender people across the world, but even in high-income countries that have recognized transgender rights and protections like the United States (where there are about 1.5 million transgender people), these individuals are “routinely denied” in areas of marriage, employment, housing, and healthcare. As a result, the transgender population sees rates of depression and mental health disorders that are much higher than the general population. Indeed, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) suggests that transgender people are much more prone to depression and anxiety than the general population." (American Addiction Centers) For TDOR, we will be sharing resources on our Instagram for those who identify as a part of the Trans community as well as for allies and those looking to further educate themselves. #wedorecover #addictionrecovery #substanceusedisorder #transgenderhealth #transgenderhistory #transgenderdayofremembrance #philly #philadelphia

"Sometimes things which at the moment may be perceived as obstacles--and actually be obstacles, difficulties, or drawbacks--can in the long run result in some good end which would not have occurred if it had not been for the obstacle." -- Steve Allen This weekend we hope that whatever challenges are presented to you, you are able make meaning from those challenges. Over the next few days, take the time to practice self-care, enjoy the sun (even if it's cold), slow down or stay busy, and tap into the Philly community and it's ample offerings. #wedorecover #substanceusedisorder #addictionrecovery #soberlife #addictiontreatment #recovery #philly #philadelphia #sobriety

With holiday season upon us and Thanksgiving next week, the next four weeks will drastically increase the stress for many of us and those around us. Between travel, finances, holidays without loved ones that passed, and possible triggering social & family gatherings, just remember that everyone could be a little more on edge then usual. Creating a plan or simply recognizing what these weeks can entail can be helpful. If you see a change in behavior through irritability and isolation, check on on those around you. It can go a long way.
