Today is a HUGE day in the offices of SMB Sales & Marketing! Our Office Security Manager, Mozart turns 17 years old today. His 2 brothers started their "employment" with us before him (made it to almost 15 years old and almost 16 respectively), and while they are no longer here, we also celebrate their birthday today! Even though he came later he has been with us more than 15+ years himself! He has been with us longer than we've lived the #brokerlife! He has been employed in 4 "offices" in 3 states! While there is no LinkedIn trigger to announce his birthday, this is a significant milestone worth celebrating. A pug certainly can live to 17 years and past, but it is not really common. The average male pug lives to about 12.8 years, so he has significantly outlasted the typical pug. Like he was ever typical! And, while he doesn't hear or see anymore, his vet is very happy with his health! The best news is he has no plans to retire! He plans on staying on the job, patrolling the perimeter, pointing out when he requires "pay" when someone enters the office kitchen. He may even try to walk into the pool just to let us know the dangers! So, happy birthday buddy! You'll get cake for days and have earned a nap! #puglife #barkingduringcalls #barkingduringanything

Shout it out loud! This is a big one! Dan-O's Seasoning is hitting Publix Super Markets shelves now with 4 new skus! We will have 5 Dantastic flavors for you to choose from at almost every single store! Thank you for store 552 giving me my first sighting! It has been quite a journey since I started working with Tyler Watson in January 2023! I can't thank him enough for all the trust! I hope to help continue his legacy! The partnership has grown greatly since we get the Original in Publix this time last year! A big thank you goes to Darrell Lamoureux at Publix! It took some work, but he finally gave us a shot to talk the last week of his review last year! Due to the timing, I had to send him pricing and paperwork on a plane headed for Cabo San Lucas! I happily did it! This was very important to do right and on time! After a year of success, it was easier this year. The 5300 PODs are the largest distribution gain in SMB Sales & Marketing's 2+ year history! With over 7700 stores gained between Publix and Winn-Dixie plus 3 new items at Ingles Markets, Inc. we are spicing up the Southeast this year! These are exciting times for our company! We are now seeing placement gains and on shelf numbers that rival those bigger brokers that I worked for in the past! I thank our clients and our customers for your trust! Hope! With every season in our lives there is new hope! Whether a new sports season, a new relationship, job, brand to sell, customer change, or even a tweak of the previous circumstances, there are many changes that can spur hope! In the #cpg space, category reviews (or meetings for open customers) spark new hope! Whether it’s a new customer, new product or new challenge, no matter the odds, anything can happen! But at the beginning, it is all hope and optimism! As in sports, there are odds for or against our chances! There are external factors that can’t always be controlled. There are unexpected surprises (both good and bad). The best SMB Sales & Marketing or any favorite team can do is, be as prepared as possible. Strategize the plays that work! Study your opponent (other team or customer). Understand your strengths abd accentuate them! Make a plan to overcome your weaknesses! Understand that there are external factors outside of our control. Don’t bank “the season” on one game or submission, but keep working to win every game and to learn lessons when we lose!
