Nelson Auner, joining as Staff Data Scientist, is a former founder and seasoned leader in the risk and data science space. He joined Affirm in its early days, where he built analytics and risk systems as the company scaled to underwrite millions of U.S. consumers. After Affirm's Series F, Nelson joined the initial team at Coalition, Inc., where he led the data science and risk engineering teams through hypergrowth. Nelson has consulted for various startups, as well as Fortune 100 banks and insurance companies. He holds an MS in Statistics and a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. We're Auner-ed to work with him!

Grace Robillard is joining us as Customer Success Operations! She was a Senior Analyst in Growth Marketing at American Express and studied Economics at Cornell University. She also played lacrosse throughout youth and was recruited to Hobart and William Smith Colleges. We’re excited about her product and growth marketing experience as activation is a major part of CX – she will help us offer the most Grace-ful customer experience!

Ethan McCoach is joining us as Account Executive! He was previously an AE at Link Money, and an AE at LA Clippers. He started his sales career selling door-to-door at Hawx Pest Control. His references highlighted his grit, work ethic, and creativity selling pest control to all types of households. Even in the hottest days of Texas, he was the first to start selling and last to stop. Ethan studied at University of California, Berkeley where he helped bring home a PAC 12 championship and was on Australia’s National rowing team. Maddie Dana recently joined Slope as an Account Executive. Maddie was previously a top-performing AE at Plaid - during her 4+ years she never missed quota! During her time at Plaid she also helped launch Plaid Transfer as a Product Specialist, and showed high “slope” by quickly ramping up her payments knowledge. Prior to Plaid, she was a Mid-Market AE at Navan (Tripactions) and the top SDR/AE at Zendesk, having started her career in recruiting. She shines in creative outbound, and has already in just a few short weeks at Slope seen a lot of success. Maddie’s skill set is broad, and she will focus on both short-term outbound and long-term strategic deals in parallel.   She played soccer as a student-athlete and won the NCAA Academic All-Conference. As a center midfielder and team captain, she is a true team player who will help the Slope team score more goals and win together!⚡

There is a lot of momentum recently at Slope, and the rest of the year will be at least as fun! To keep up with the excitement we recently expanded our sales & customer success teams. We are not stopping there, and are now looking to add rockstar talent across Recruiting, Data Science, Customer Support, Engineering (both forward deployed and full-stack) and Risk Operations.  Coordination and communication are key to our success. This was extra evident during our recent company outing where we all went rafting in the Russian River - a great showcase for how collaborative efforts lead to smoother (and in this case, drier) outcomes.
