The SITREP Foundation is a veteran-operated nonprofit primarily focused on assisting veterans, active/reserve military, first responders, and their families. After hurricane Milton hit Florida, SITREP’s volunteer personnel have been part of the search and rescue efforts. They have been using GPS trackers to track the location of their volunteers in real time to ensure swift and coordinated responses, ultimately improving safety and efficiency. SITREP Foundation is down in the Tennessee and North Carolina area helping out with the disaster relief efforts from hurricane Helene. The team is currently enroute to the Avery County, NC area where they will be assisting with some rescue operations in the mountains, security due to looters in the area and any assistance with accessibility to get into the remote mountain locations. They will also be utilizing their comms to help communicate and establish comms between the locals and first responders in the area to help bring any assistance needed. Lastly, the team will also be working with a helicopter group in the area to coordinate helicopter operations in the area. We want to also thank Matthew 25: Ministries for their generosity in helping donate essential supplies that we were able to deliver to those who needed them in the area. It's partnerships when organizations work together to help others that make our country great. While our mission is to help our veterans and first responders, during events like this, our mission is to help the community. Today Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) began on October 7, 2001, in response to the September 11 attacks. The primary goals were to dismantle al-Qaeda and remove the Taliban from power in Afghanistan. The operation marked the beginning of the U.S.-led coalition's efforts to combat terrorism and bring stability to the region. The campaign officially ended on December 28, 2014, although coalition forces remained to assist with training Afghan security forces. The anniversary of OEF is a time to honor the bravery and sacrifices of the military personnel who served during the campaign and to reflect on the impact of their efforts in the fight against terrorism. We honor the many brave men and women who served and sacrificed their lives and so much during Operation Enduring Freedom. Their courage, dedication, and ultimate sacrifices will never be forgotten.
