Attending WCEE2024 in Milan, Italy? Catch our Senior Manager of Testing and Research Steve Pryor, P.E., S.E.. and our academic partners including André R. Barbosa discuss our involvement in the NHERI Tallwood and NHERI Converging Design projects focusing on a mass timber buildings tested on the NHERI UCSD shake table. The project investigated tall timber building resilience in earthquake-prone areas, featuring a post-tensioned mass timber rocking wall lateral system designed to minimize damage from design-level earthquakes and facilitate quick repairs afterward. Our Yield-Link® moment connection and Yield-Link brace connection were also successfully tested as potential alternatives to post-tensioned rocking wall systems aimed at reducing residual drift. We look forward to seeing everyone there! #WCEE2024 #WCEE
