Choosing the right sprinkler head for your fire suppression system depends on various factors such as the type of building, the specific hazards present, and the aesthetic preferences. Below is a list of the most common types used in fire prevention applications. Pendent Sprinkler Heads Description: Pendent sprinkler heads hang down from the ceiling and are one of the most common types. Uses: Suitable for offices, retail spaces, and residential buildings. Ideal for areas with standard ceiling heights. Upright Sprinkler Heads Description: Upright sprinkler heads stand upright and are mounted on top of the piping. Uses: Best for areas with obstructions such as warehouses, industrial spaces, and storage facilities. Suitable for high ceilings and spaces with open structures. Sidewall Sprinkler Heads Description: Sidewall sprinkler heads are mounted on the wall and project water outward. Uses: Ideal for corridors, hallways, small rooms, and areas where ceiling space is limited. Common in applications such as hotel rooms. Concealed Sprinkler Heads Description: Concealed sprinkler heads are hidden behind a cover plate that falls away when activated by heat. Uses: Suitable for areas where aesthetics are important, such as lobbies, offices, and high-end residential spaces. Used in places where a clean ceiling look is desired. Flush and Recessed Sprinkler Heads Description: Flush and recessed sprinkler heads are installed with the head sitting slightly above or even with the ceiling surface. Uses: Suitable for commercial buildings, offices, and residential properties. Often used in locations where aesthetics and ceiling design are important. Your Silco technician can seamlessly integrate access control with your new or existing security system. It's easy to add a video intercom system to your automatic security gate, or install additional points of entry access control keypads in your facility. You're in control with remote and on-site door or zone lock downs which can be on demand or on a set schedule. View and control all of this from your phone, tablet, or desktop! You can select which doors have access during set times and control levels of access for personnel. Don't have time to print an employee or guest ID badge? No problem, let us handle the design and printing for you! For more information, send us a message here https://lnkd.in/dCKgfVR8 and one of our friendly security professionals will contact you. #AccessControl #Security #integrationsolutions #silcofireandsecurity

The frequency of battery replacement in your security alarm control panel depends on several factors, including the type of batteries used, the model of the control panel, and the environmental conditions in which the system operates. The system's keypad will usually display a warning message like "Low Battery" or "Trouble" when the backup battery is low. Silco recommends replacing the control panel battery every 5 years. If you have wireless devices, these batteries will typically last 2-5 years depending on usage. NFPA 96: Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations outlines the requirements for the inspection, testing, and maintenance of kitchen suppression systems. Semi-annual kitchen suppression inspections are necessary to ensure the safety and effectiveness of your fire suppression system in commercial kitchens. Why Semi-Annual Inspections are Important: Compliance with Regulations: Fire codes and insurance requirements often mandate that kitchen suppression systems be inspected every six months to ensure compliance. System Reliability: Regular inspections help confirm that the system will function correctly in the event of a fire, reducing the risk of damage, injury, or loss of life. Preventative Maintenance: Inspections help identify and address issues before they become major problems, such as worn-out components, blockages, or corrosion. Peace of Mind: Knowing that your kitchen suppression system is regularly inspected provides peace of mind for owners, employees, and customers. For more information, or to schedule an inspection, send us a message here https://lnkd.in/dCKgfVR8 and one of our friendly professionals will contact you. #kitchensuppression #firesafety #inspection #silcofireandsecurity
