The Dry’N Shape Tower is quite literally an engineering project. I take no credit for this invention - this was all Rene. There are several patents that cover several functional aspects of this invention. What we accomplished here was to dry as many as 100 brushes fast using 6 square inches of counter space. One of the advantages of having such an unrelated background to beauty is that I feel compelled and free to change anything I feel could be better. The boxes - that is how a lipstick is supposed to look and work, or that is how you are supposed to clean your brushes, or that is how a blender is supposed to look and function - don’t exist for me. Sigma Beauty is the embodiment of outside-the-box thinking because we mix science and engineering to bring solutions. I was so excited when I finished the development of our Sigma Switch. Switching colors on the same brush during makeup application is a real need. It saves time, requires fewer brushes, and results in fewer brushes to wash afterwards - there are only wins. The solutions available before we introduced the Sigma Switch were quite literally hard porous sponge-like material, washcloths, and in many cases, the user’s clothing - as shared by makeup enthusiasts explaining how they would switch colors during application. Needless to say, none of these solutions were ideal - the porous sponge would accumulate powder and be extremely difficult to clean, while the washcloths and clothing would be forever ruined with stains. Enter the multi-textured, double-sided, high-grade silicone pad - Sigma Switch. What a game-changer! It is durable, washable, and absolutely engineered for the best performance. All sections of the pad were carefully thought out to provide the best performance and comfort when cleaning makeup brushes between applications. [Part 10] One of the products I am most proud of developing is our Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove. This product is the culmination of all the previous brush cleaning gadgets we had created. We were able to include all brush cleaning textures into a small, reversible gadget, and we had to go through several rounds of development until the most functional version was created. Once again, we were tailoring our product development to our clients' requests and feedback. Our clients wanted a more affordable version of our larger brush cleaning gadgets, and we immediately complied with their request. A lot, if not all, of our product development is guided by our audience and fans of the brand. That is why we have been able to stay in business for 15 years as a privately owned company.
