About us

Although a new company in the senior market, our owner has been a nurse in the senior space for 19 years in various positions from bedside to executive leadership, from the midwest and now into the southeast region. We aim to be your one stop resource and care provider for all things senior care. We are not your typical private duty home care agency. We are a professional, skilled expert in the senior living industry. We provide hands on care services which include caregivers, CNA's and Nurses. Our nurse owner is also a well connected resource for senior placement, hospice services, assisted living, independent living and memory care communities and has created dementia curriculum and support groups that she provides to families, communities and now, all Gwinnett County’s Senior Centers One Stop locations. We also have connections with senior real estate agents, senior move companies and elder law attorneys. At Senior911, we believe that your emergency is our urgency. How may we assist?

Thank you Amanda Hamilton, CALA, CDP and Berman Commons for hosting my Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Seminar at your beautiful community. Another class of Certified Dementia Practitioners headed back into the field better equipped with the tools and knowledge to serve our community. Love to see it!! National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) #dementia #education They loved it so much, the staff told me they were looking for a memory care director and asked if I would join them. Lol

Do you have designated quiet time at your household? Quiet time can provide some mental relief to those with Alzheimer’s and dementia due to loud sounds and ambient noise leading to increased anxiety. 👍

Over the years, I’ve learned a survival tactic that involves burying emotions in such a way that protects me from being hurt. Sometimes the reality of the pain is too much and who has time for that anyway, right? Well yesterday, at the open house of Seawood PCH, before the people came, I hung my father’s picture on the wall as a final touch, and felt something I don’t think I felt before. My father and I had not always had the best relationship and a lot of my stoicism as a woman is a reflection of that. But as I stood there staring at the picture, my daughter walked up on me and said, “You know he’s proud of you. You did good mom”. And I immediately felt proud of him as well. I thought about all the good he did and sacrifices he made to provide. All the late night, 2 hour lectures he gave, and you had better not flinch or act like you didn’t want to hear them. I remembered how I would hear the garage open when he came home from work and I would literally dance in the mirror on the door leading to the garage waiting for him to come in and pick me up. When I tell people that he is the very reason why I am in healthcare it’s the absolute truth. I was in a season of my life as a teenage mom and had no clue which direction I was going and he told me one day, healthcare. He said I would always be employable. What he didn’t know is that not only would I be employable, it is enJOYable and truly my calling. To everyone who worked tirelessly to bring this vision to fruition, my husband John Gunter, my partner Billy Gerdes, Bill’s wife Marissa Odlg, our handyman contractor Rudy, his son Aaron, my son Aaron Robinson, my daughter Deja Robinson, and my friends who stopped by when we were working on the weekends and dropped off food, water, and a kind word, Tracy Moore and Vickie Jumper, Thank you!! I cannot tell you how many hours we worked in the past 3 weeks but I will tell you, it was apparent in the tight backs, throbbing knees, swollen ankles, and buckets of sweat. May I add, my dream team in the office holding down the day to day operations so that I could handle the business of the home. Senior 911 is absolutely NOTHING without them. Thank you to all who supported the open house yesterday. My staff who prepared their native haitian and african dishes. OMG… they certainly showed out! I knew I asked for a sampling, but they came together and put out a spread. For 4 hours straight, we had a steady flow of visitors and well wishers who stopped by to see what was. They had questions, they complimented, someone who had been in the industry for many years even said our PCH was in the top 1% in the area. I’ll take that for our first run. My dad is in the top 1% for me as well so it is only befitting. I would share photos and videos of the home, but I would rather you book your own private tour because the love and warmth that is in that home cannot be felt through the screen. Their words, not mine. #seawoodPCH
