On August 26, 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment was adopted, marking a pivotal moment in history for women's rights and suffrage. As we approach Women's Equality Day on August 26th, let's reflect on the courage and resilience of the suffragists who paved the way for progress. In HR, we understand that equality isn't just a goal; it's a fundamental principle. Let's honor their legacy by championing workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion. Let's ensure that every voice is heard, talent is valued, and opportunity is accessible. #WomensEqualityDay

If you’ve ever considered your options for supporting employees suffering from musculoskeletal discomfort or disorders, you know many of the solutions available seem unhelpful and expensive – reactive rather than proactive. Finding effective ways to provide them the solutions they need can be challenging. With many states beginning to address the need for ergonomic workplace solutions through legislation, you know these issues need to be addressed promptly and correctly.   Our partner, ErgoFit Consulting, Inc., can help. Their Founder and President Deborah Read explains, “Implementing ergonomic solutions for the root causes of discomfort prevents musculoskeletal pain and thereby enhances employee health, performance, productivity, and retention. This, in turn, optimizes an organization's competitiveness and profitability.”    Learn more about the benefits of supporting your workforce with creative and effective ergonomic solutions by visiting their website today: https://lnkd.in/g-PwaJVw

At Seattle SHRM, we support creating inclusive, accessible, and welcoming workplaces for everyone. Together, we can break down barriers, champion diversity, and appreciate each person's unique talents. Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. Why July? It marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark legislation that broke down social barriers to inclusion. People with disabilities deserve to live full, self-determined lives, just like everyone else. Yet discrimination persists for the 1 in 4 U.S. adults living with a disability. Disability Pride Month happens every July to mark the ADA’s anniversary, passed on July 26, 1990. The first celebration was Disability Pride Day, which took place in Boston in 1990. Chicago hosted the first Disability Pride Parade in 2004. Now, events nationwide empower people with disabilities to take pride in who they are. Let's make our workplaces shine with inclusivity and pride! 🌟. Thank you for doing your part to amplify the voices and experiences of people with disabilities! #DisabilityPrideMonth #DEI #HR #InclusiveWorkplace
