For National Volunteers Week we wanted to pay tribute to our incredible volunteers, without whom we would not be able to run our Vitamin Sea Project. Here, we hear from just a few of the incredible people who give their time to support others through our projects: "I love volunteering for Seaful for many reasons. it’s a charity close to my heart supporting the sustainability of our beautiful planet but also the opportunity for me to connect people to things that I love, the water. I never get bored of seeing children and adults naturally find their connection with water through our sessions. To do something for others is truly rewarding." Craig Jackson www.supshropshire.com "I love my local coastline and I’m so grateful for Seaful enabling sessions on the Isle of Arran, where I have been a small part of young people making their own personal connection to the ocean through snorkelling. For me, this is one of the most powerful ways to engage them in the wider conversation around ocean protection - seeing it and feeling it for themselves. That is why I love supporting Seaful!" Linn https://lnkd.in/e5UxGiE5 "Seaful is important to me as I want to help individuals connect to the ocean, which will not only help with their mental health and wellbeing, like it has with me, but also becoming an advocate for the ocean, as we all protect what we love. I love volunteering and giving back, but volunteering with Seaful, I love observing how people's energy and mindset changes whilst paddling on the sea, or even swimming/dipping in the sea, having that interaction with the ocean provides a wealth of positivity and it feels great to witness it for people who may not have the opportunity to get to the sea." Steph https://lnkd.in/eNVQwCgb "Seeing a group of people come together on an activity that I absolutely love is a great feeling. The Seaful ethos of reconnecting people to the ocean for the benefit of mental health whilst driving a message of protection and sustainability of our waterways is something I feel strongly about. I am excited to volunteer for more sessions spending more time on the water whilst meeting some great people and having the chance to give something back." Marc https://www.sup-devon.com/ "Seaful reminds me of the shining of the sunlight on the water, and twinkles of their knowledge will pop through my mind when I’m in the outdoors. The team open us up to the power of nature to support our mental health, and it surrounds us all.  Seaful is so important for this reason, when life is chaotic for many, we get these glimmers of happiness when in nature thanks to the tools learnt from Seaful.  Volunteering connects me to so many incredible people, we get to share and learn about each other lives."
