Looking for ways to celebrate #CareersInConstruction Month this October? A fun and easy way to get involved is by dropping off construction-themed coloring books at local elementary schools! It's a great way to introduce young students to the industry and spark their interest in future careers while engaging them creatively. Plus, it's an opportunity to give back to your community and raise awareness about the many opportunities in construction!
We help the skilled trades to stop chasing what they need. We simply fetch it for them | Co-founder CEO of Toolfetch
Coloring books gets kids interested in the trades. You know, it's super cool to learn about different jobs people do. And what better way to do that than through coloring books? These books are like treasures! Imagine this: You open a coloring book and you see all these jobs you might not know much about. 🔨 Plumbers 🔨 Steamfitters 🔨 Painters 🔨 Carpenters 🔨 Ironworkers 🔨 Masons and more It's like discovering a whole new world! And you know what's even cooler? These jobs are so important! They make our world better. These coloring books don't just show you the usual stuff. Nope! They introduce you to all sorts of jobs you might not see every day. And they show how these jobs help everyone. Maybe, just maybe, when you color these pages, you'll feel inspired. Inspired to become one of these skilled trade people one day! Or even if you don't, that's okay. Because at least you'll know about these awesome jobs that can make you happy and successful. Coloring books are like little sparks of inspiration! credit to Mary Gaffney , Byron Lee, PhD , NAWIC Philadelphia Foundation Thanks for this amazing book on construction and supporting the skilled trades. #skilledtrades #jointhetrades #bluecollar #STAC ↗ Hey, I'm Andrew I post every day at 8am est. ↗ I'm a skilled trades advocate. ↗ Join the trades movement: https://lnkd.in/eSqJzG9j ↗ Follow me Andrew Brown

Last week three SC&RF WORKFORCE AMBASSADORS shared during the SC&RA's Crane & Rigging Workshop session - Strategies for a Winning Workforce. ✨ David Hull shared the story of how Brooke House was founded and how Manitowoc supports this nonprofit and also trains and employs the women who come out of the program. ✨ Meghan McNally spoke about McNally-Nimergood's involvement with a variety of local community groups focused on getting the next generation into the trades, her classroom visits, and field trips to their facility. ✨ Kristin Chose from Ideal Crane talked about large-scale collaboration within a community to build awareness for the trades and the crane industry - Kids Building Wisconsin - attracting 10,000 attendees. Key Takeaway 🔑 A company culture that values giving back to the community, benefits your company beyond brand recognition. Employees are proud to work for a company that is active in the community whether it's sponsoring sports teams, fun runs and supporting their efforts to visit schools or participating in collaborative efforts to bring trades to the forefront for students. - Pro-Tip: T-shirts in youth sizes are very popular! If you don't currently hand those out - you should start.
