Entrepreneurs from across the nation pitched their way to the top, earning $175,000 in prize money while receiving valuable mentorship, training and national exposure. This year, we celebrate 60 glorious years of SCORE Mentors, the country's largest network of volunteer business mentors. I am incredibly grateful to Christian (Chris) Mahoney and Willy Verbrugghe for introducing me to SCORE Mentors Houston. I vividly remember our first meeting in the Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas office, filled with hearty laughter, a deep understanding and profound respect that only true allies share. The #JACompanyProgram X SCORE Mentors Houston partnership is thriving under the leadership of the AMAZING Jada A. Harris, MBA, MS, who personally volunteers in #JA classrooms in Houston ISD. I am indebted to Ruchi Gupta and Linh Thai for their unconditional support and graciousness during a very challenging academic year. So many SCORE Mentors Houston leaders have dedicated their time and talent to #educate and #empower our youth through the #JACompanyProgram. I am truly indebted to them. TOGETHER we have achieved so much, in such a short span of time, and the impact #SCORE has had on the #JACompanyProgram is undeniable. It was joyful to be a part of the SCORE Mentors Houston Partners Luncheon and meet some outstanding Houstonian business and community leaders. Seeing Sandra Louvier, Dr. Maya Durnovo and Dr. Ravi Brahmbhatt being recognized for their groundbreaking work under the Houston Community College banner was a wonderful highlight. They are passionate partners and it has been an honor working alongside them for many years. Last year, it was Dr. Ravi Brahmbhatt, Courtney T., Jada A. Harris, MBA, MS and Sandra Louvier who accepted the Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas recognition medal in my absence.
