Following a December 2022 agreement to advance bilateral trade and investment, South Carolina recently announced the establishment of its newest international office – a London-based team whose work will cover the United Kingdom market. The new office will develop opportunities for foreign direct investment in the state, particularly in the life sciences, automotive and advanced energy sectors – as well as for exporting. South Carolina’s expanded global presence builds on decades of strong, bilateral relationships throughout the UK. Strategically located on the East Coast, South Carolina is paving the way as the new home and headquarters of American innovation. Yesterday, South Carolina celebrated and reinforced its economic ties to Ireland with a ceremonial bill signing for the South Carolina Irish Trade Commission.     Governor Henry McMaster and Consulate General of Ireland, Atlanta Franke Groome formalized the commission, which seeks to advance bilateral trade and investment opportunities between South Carolina and Ireland. Since 2010, Irish businesses have announced more than $239 million in economic investment, today employing more than 5,900 citizens across 47 companies.      Just last week, S.C.
