In response to recent information of Benzene being found in various acne products by Valient, the healthcare providers at Sanova Dermatology place the health and well-being of our patients as our utmost priority. Out of an abundance of caution, we recommend patients stop using any over-the-counter product containing benzoyl peroxide. If using a prescription product that lists benzoyl peroxide as an ingredient, patients should ensure the medication is kept in a room where it is not exposed to high temperatures, perhaps even the refrigerator.
