Artist finalists, a grantee expands their reach, and your impact

This #MentalHealthAwarenessDay, we shine a light on the vital programs that are transforming how Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center delivers care. From critical programs funded through the Transform Mental Behavioral Health Fund, like Team Lily and the Addiction Care Team, to innovative projects that meet patients' needs with equity in mind, like sensory rooms that provide peaceful healing spaces, these initiatives are crucial for fostering healing and hope in our community. Your generous support is the backbone of these efforts, enabling us to enhance critical services and expand access to essential mental health resources. We extend our gratitude to Pam Baer, whose vision brought the TMBHF to life, and to Elizabeth Minick, who is carrying that vision forward. Together, we can continue to create lasting change and a brighter future for those in need.

We were thrilled to be recognized at Monday Night Football by the San Francisco 49ers for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center’s care of 49er Ricky Pearsall. Every year, Zuckerberg San Francisco General serves more than 100,000 people and is the only Level 1 Trauma Center serving #SF & northern San Mateo County. It is the hub of the city’s disaster response in an earthquake or major crisis and is consistently recognized for excellent care. A milk drive, a focus on patient-centered diabetes education, and a special save the date for #HeartsinSF

We are thrilled to see the amazing impact a 2021 Equity and Innovation grant has had on diabetes care at Zuckerberg San Francisco General. By translating and adapting educational materials for diverse ANHPI communities, Dr. Liseli Mulala and her team have cut readmission rates and empowered diabetic patients with culturally relevant resources.
