New Deadlines Alert: Motions for Summary Judgment Get a Shake-Up! Governor Newsom has greenlit AB 2049, bringing changes to CCP Section 437c. Starting January 1, 2025, mark your calendars for these new filing deadlines: - Notice of Motion: Serve all parties at least 81 days ahead (up from 75 days). - Opposition to Motion: File and serve no later than 20 days before the hearing (previously 14 days). - Reply to Opposition: File and serve at least 11 days prior (formerly 5 days).
