An Austin, TX nonprofit working to stop abuse for everyone through direct services, prevention, advocacy, and training.
About us
The SAFE Alliance is a Central Texas nonprofit organization working to stop abuse for everyone. SAFE supports children, adults, and families who have experienced abuse by providing safety, stability, and healing. To more effectively put an end to child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking, SAFE provides shelter, counseling, legal assistance, sexual assault forensic exams, supervised visitation and exchange services, and more. In addition to direct services, SAFE works to prevent violence before it occurs through parenting assistance and education, programs that promote healthy teen relationships, and working with communities disproportionately affected by abuse. Violence and abuse are a cycle, often transferred across generations. We work to break that cycle. Central Texans may know our work in its iterations through different names and mergers over the past 50 years we've served survivors of violence and abuse. Today, we are known as SAFE - a national leader in innovative and effective programs that provide a sense of safety, dignity, and hope for survivors of sexual assault, child abuse, sex trafficking, and domestic violence in Central Texas. With an annual budget of more than $20 million, more than 350 employees and thousands of volunteers, SAFE now has prevention and crisis programs operating across multiple campuses and in the schools, hospitals, courts, county and District Attorney’s offices. NEED HELP? SAFEline is a 24-hour confidential hotline for people seeking help with sexual or domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking, or parenting support and is available by phone at 512.267.SAFE (7233), by text at 737.888.7233, or by online chat at safeaustin.org/chat.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our 200 volunteers from 20 organizations and businesses and to the 32 Truck partners whose involvement made this year’s Touch-a-Truck a tremendous success! Your hard work and enthusiasm were the heart of this event, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you.

We love hearing what inspires our donors to give and get involved! The Wells Fargo team wanted to make a difference for youth aging out of foster care. During a visit on SAFE's campus, the Wells Fargo team were inspired by SAFE's work with youth in our Supervised Independent Living (SIL) program. Through this program, teens aging out of foster care receive housing and access to SAFE services to provide support and care as they transition into their adult lives. Their team of #WFVolunteers joined us last week to build furniture and add all the welcoming touches to create a homey space for youth in SAFE's SIL program. Additionally, Wells Fargo provided a $50,000 grant to support this program. We are immensely grateful for their gifts and ongoing support of SAFE and the youth in our SIL program. What motivates your company to give? #KeepAustinSAFE #MotivationMonday
