On any given night, in Los Angeles, there are over 3,000 young folks experiencing homelessness - last year SPY served 1,300. An ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience with liaising and providing technical assistance to DCFS regional office staff including children’s social workers (CSW) for youth exiting or exited from DCFS, providing provide technical assistance to, Probation Camp staff and field deputy probation officers for youth exiting or exited from DCFS, and providing mediation between households and property owners/family/friends to assist in resolving the housing crisis.
