The U.S. Department of Labor’s Registered Apprenticeship Academy (https://bit.ly/49h9RrY) is pleased to announce a new learning course for Registered Apprenticeship Sponsors (https://bit.ly/45bS6cY) and Registered Apprentices (https://lnkd.in/gWuU5QnZ): Promoting an Anti-Harassment Environment. This training addresses harassment in any company, highlighting it can happen to anyone. Designed to be completed in 15-20 minutes, the course covers recognizing unlawful behavior, defining harassment, taking appropriate action as a target or witness, reporting incidents, and understanding the consequences of retaliation. Registered Apprenticeship Sponsors (https://lnkd.in/gDnKsfWc) and Registered Apprentices (https://lnkd.in/gBXf-emH) can utilize this training to ensure their programs comply with Federal laws, have the necessary processes in place to address harassment effectively, and gain the required certificate of completion. Apprentices have the right to a workplace that is free from harassment, intimidation, discrimination, and retaliation. Sponsors have the responsibility to ensure anti-harassment training is provided to anyone engaged in their program. Registered apprenticeship programs are subject to equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations (29 C.F.R. Part 30). As we close Military Appreciation Month, Safal Partners wants to honor the invaluable contributions, sacrifices, and service of former and active members of the armed forces. Safal is actively supporting veterans through three key initiatives. Through the leadership of the DOL VETS National Veterans’ Technical Assistance Center, we provide programmatic support and technical assistance to Homeless Veterans’ Reintegration Program (HVRP) grant recipients, which are locally based organizations serving homeless veterans in communities across the U.S. Through our work on the DOL VETS Performance, Policy, and Analysis Support project, we undertake performance data evaluation to aid national, state, and local veteran offices. As a DOL Office of Apprenticeship Registered #Apprenticeship Cybersecurity and Tech Industry Intermediary, we are accelerating transitioning service members and their spouses' entry into high-demand cyber and IT roles.
