About us

Mountain Leader Hi I'm Rob I'm a keen hill walker, scrambler and rock climber. I am a friendly and relaxed mountain leader and open to most ideas. I'm member of my local Search and Rescue Team since 2009. I have been an outdoor instructor working with a variety of different groups since 2008. A change in personal circumstances, in 2013, led me away from the industry and I am now an industrial abseiler, work at height and rope rescue instructor as well as a first aid instructor. My SARDA dog usually accompanies me on the hill and is well behaved, but can also stay at home when coming with me is not an option. I am currently open to work at weekends as my full time job is Monday - Friday. But I can do the occasional weekday work, just get in touch and I'm happy to discuss. Currently involved in Duke Of Edinburgh Assessments and Supervision, Event Mountain Safety Support, Mountain Challenge safety support, Mountain Guiding and training personal hill safety skills.

Work at Height and Confined Spaces Work and Rescue Instructor

This Saturday one quarter of the Arco Professional Safety Services Ltd Technical Rescue Team came together to train, recap on standard operating procedures and just let our hair down and socialise together, at the end of the day we are a TEAM and the latter is a key factor of being a team. We covered lots of stuff including: • General access methods, • Our specialist equipment such as; stretchers, our Lyon Equipment small animal rescue bag and the SINGING ROCK baby rescue bag. The technical rescue team has been in operation now since our first key contract in the year 2000, a contract that we still proudly have today. Providing a 24/7 oncall rescue team to some of the key tourist attractions and landmarks in the London and home counties region. Our Bracknell Safety Centre was the training location last weekend and this weekend. Then we will move to our Eccleshall training centre for the next two weekends.

  • I've been wearing the Edelrid Vertic Triple Lock harness this week. I was excited to try it out. • Quite comfy • Loved the rigid gear loops, which are rated to 25kg • Really liked how the chest ascender is built into the harness • Lanyard parking loops were great, easy to attach a hook, and also add to the aesthetics! •Dedicated loops for a work seat, which is ideal. •Rear restraint point works okay, found the straps for additional storage on the back tend to get in the way when using the restraint loop. Wasn't very keen on the elastic chest straps, I couldn't really see the benefit that they provided. All in all a great product and worth looking into #ropeaccess #ropeaccesslife #irata #ropeaccesstechnician #edelrid #industrialclimbing
