A 50-basis point cut in the current benign economic environment is unprecedented. Read more in our latest Market Commentary. https://lnkd.in/eS_jks5N

The U.S. Treasury’s 2024 deficit is the largest ever in a non-recession year. Net interest outlays surpass defense spending and health expenditures, with the U.S. government currently paying an average of $3 billion in interest expenses each day. A further 50-basis-point decline in interest rates, as expected by year end, would reduce these daily interest payments to an estimated $2.5 billion.
