Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Today we honor the wisdom and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, the first inhabitants of the Americas. We ask you to rethink history and the narrative of the “discovery” of the New World. This world wasn’t new to those who already lived here, just to those who had yet to set foot on it. By recognizing Indigenous Peoples’ Day the government took an important step forward, but there are still so many battles yet to be won in decolonizing our society, behaviors, and mindset. The effects of colonialism are still present today but each and every one of us has the power to change that. That’s why we created our eBook, “Pathways to Equity: RISE Travel Institute’s Decolonial Guide to Travel for the Conscious Traveler.” Download it today and be a part of the movement towards a more equitable world: https://lnkd.in/edw5QGfr #BeARiseTraveler #RiseTravelInstitute #Antioppression #DiversityEquityAndInclusion #SustainableTourism #RegenerativeTourism #ResponsibleTravel #SustainableTravel #MindfulTravel #EthicalTravel #ImpactTravel #tourism #sustainability #travel
