“Decades of advocacy at the State House, educating our lawmakers and their staff on the need for significant rate increases to counter the workforce crisis and the long waitlists for services, have finally paid off for our industry,” Cheryl Levesque, President of the Rhode Island Partnership for Home Care’s Board of Directors, said in a statement. “We will now have the resources needed to expand service hours to our patients and clients and raise wages to be more competitive in the labor market to attract direct care and operations staff.” https://lnkd.in/ex8QkSwV #Medicaid #HomeCare #HomeHealth #Hospice #RhodeIsland #Budget #Nurses #PowerOfA

Thank you to the Rhode Island General Assembly for increasing Medicaid home care funding in the State Fiscal Year 2025 budget. Once implemented, Medicaid-contracted home care providers can adequately compete in Rhode Island's labor market with higher wages for direct care and operations staff. https://lnkd.in/euJv5P5r #RhodeIsland #Medicaid #homecare #homehealth #hospice #healthcare #budget #funding #nurses #CNAs
