What a great #CSR month! We love to see it - colleagues working together in and outside of the office.
What a month! We celebrated our annual #CSR month in September with volunteer events focusing on #PlanetFirst and #ManyShadesofGreen. We kicked off the month by spending an afternoon on the Chicago River, kayaking and beautifying the river before turning our attention to gardening along the Wild Mile with Urban Rivers. Next, a team of volunteers headed to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County to protect the natural beauty of West DuPage Woods by removing invasive species and collecting seeds. Members of all of our operating companies joined forces for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago #CorporateCup, enjoying a Field Day of fun and games while raising critical funds for children in need. Finally, we rounded off the month by planting trees in Detroit with The Greening of Detroit, contributing to reducing the city's heat island effect and improving air quality. Corporate responsibility and the spirit of volunteerism are core tenets of our corporate culture here at Wurkwel. While we celebrate CSR especially in September, we give back to communities across the country throughout the entire year. Rightsize was proud to sponsor last night’s 20th Annual Building Connections Event, hosted by the Michigan Crossroads Council, Boy Scouts of America and Construction Association of Michigan. This is the largest annual gathering of the construction community in southeast Michigan, bringing together general contractors, developers, architects, engineers and vendors for a night of networking, fun and fundraising.
