Safety is our highest priority at UTA. Video surveillance throughout our system creates a safer experience for both our riders and our employees. Not only does video surveillance help UTA accurately tell the story when infrequent incidents occur, it also has the power to save lives when used proactively. If you see a safety concern while riding our system, say something! Call UTA police at 801-287-EYES or text UTATIP and your report to 274637. #WeMoveYou

FrontRunner station platforms have been upgraded with gap fillers, closing the space between the station platform and the train so it is safer, easier, and smoother to board at any door. As a reminder, FrontRunner train doors do not open automatically. Please use the knock panels to open the doors. If you need assistance boarding, head to the accessibility symbol at the platform’s south end. A UTA employee will be happy to assist you. You can find more information about this enhancement and other accessibility options by visiting: rideuta.com/accessibility. We hope you enjoy this new improvement. #WeMoveYou

Earlier today, the UTA Board of Trustees approved a contract with Utah-based Stadler US to build up to 80 new light rail cars, offering a low-floor, all-accessible boarding, as part of a multi-year TRAX Modernization project. This project will enhance and expand service over the next decade. Stadler, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of passenger trains, was selected by UTA through competitive procurement, and all vehicles will be built at Stadler's U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. Earlier today, UTA, Clearfield City officials, Davis County representatives, and project partners participated in a walking progress tour of the UTA Clearfield Station transit-oriented development that is currently underway. Since the groundbreaking in 2022, a new 2.25-acre public park has been completed, all utilities have been installed, and revitalization efforts are on schedule to transform an estimated 1 million square feet of Clearfield City. For more information about the project, visit clearfieldconnected.org. #WeMoveYou

Innovation allows UTA to move you and the state of Utah forward. When faced with the problem of extending the life of our exterior bus speakers, UTA engineers came up with a creative solution: 3D printing the parts themselves! This is not only cost-effective when it comes to producing the speaker housings, but it also gives us the flexibility to print a variety of parts in the future. #WeMoveYou

Take a behind-the-scenes look at a recent State of Good Repair construction project that was completed at the grade crossing on 9400 South near Sandy Expo Station. Crews worked to replace the original grade crossing panels that were installed in 1997! This new embedded track slab should provide a smoother experience for riders on TRAX as well as drivers and pedestrians crossing the rails. #WeMoveYou #RideUTA
