By pairing an Equilibar FDO Series sanitary valve with a diaphragm metering pump, the specific challenges in oligonucleotide production can be effectively managed. Facilities producing oligonucleotides need to manage a wide range of challenges include operating systems with very wide flow ranges and media that is susceptible to pulsations. From an economic perspective, enhancing efficiency and safety during scale-up is crucial. Consequently, manufacturers of oligonucleotide drugs are adopting continuous flow manufacturing, which provides greater flexibility and increased capacity. The FDO pressure control valve, which is electronically controlled for upstream pressure regulation, helps to mitigate upstream pressure variations. Additionally, the built-in active pulsation dampener significantly reduces downstream pulsations, ensuring a stable downstream flow.
