On Wednesday, October 2, RIMA Member & Sponsor, igus Inc., proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new igus injection molding facility and robotics campus, welcoming over 130 guests, including local and industry media, customers, partners, and students.
The event featured distinguished attendees such as U.S. Senator Jack Reed, U.S. Representative Gabe Amo, R.I. Commerce Secretary Elizabeth M. Tanner, Esq., and East Providence Bob DaSilva, who all joined us in expressing their congratulations.
Following remarks from igus President and CEO, Felix Brockmeyer, Senator Jack Reed, and Secretary Tanner, the ceremonial ribbon-cutting took place, marking a significant milestone for igus North America.
Guests enjoyed guided tours of igus facilities at 50 North Broadway, 270 Greenwood, and 257 Ferris, allowing them to explore our state-of-the-art injection molding capabilities and RBTX robotics laboratory. The celebration included a festive lunch, an Oktoberfest-style beer garden, and live demonstrations alongside engaging learning tracks, creating an atmosphere of excitement and collaboration as igus embarks on this new chapter. 👏
