I am happy to share this news as I return full time to lead Results Thru Strategy.
Exciting news to share! I have passed the leadership of Engleman’s bakery to our new CEO, Rob Hathy. His extensive background in CPG, manufacturing, and DSD will be essential as we focus on fulfilling our acquisition strategy initially stymied by the pandemic. Rob brings exceptional leadership skills and a successful track record of growing brands, having worked for companies such as Pepsi and Kings Hawaiian. I am thrilled to work with him as I continue to serve on the board. Shoreline Equity Partners purchased the bakery 2 weeks before Covid began. I was enlisted to lead the brand with a focus on culture, safety, and revenue growth. During my time as CEO, I learned a lot about food manufacturing and was able to apply the various principles of stakeholder mentality to guide the company. I promoted Paul Bell from CFO to the additional title of President to provide him an opportunity for professional and personal growth, and Rob will mentor him. I believe that when passing on the mantle of leadership, the company should perform better with new strategies as the changed environment provides different opportunities. I am confident that Rob will lead Engleman’s with his customer-focused skills and fresh ideas, and the company's future results will accelerate. Our founder, Fred LeFranc shared a moving story about his connection to Will Guidara.
I met an amazing man in the late 90s, Frank Guidara , who was running Wolfgang Puck Cafes while I was CEO of Louise's Trattoria. At a social event, he introduced me to his wife, Janet, who was in a wheelchair and later learned she had brain cancer. Despite working 6 days a week, Frank would return home everyday to care for his wife and son, whom he was solely raising. Will Guidara his son, followed in his father's footsteps and became the owner of 11 Madison, voted best restaurant in the world. Tammy, Thanks for sharing this. The concept of dynamic pricing along with location specific pricing becomes more critical. Companies need to optimize their revenue generation to maximize cash flow. The concept execution needs to create value. The more value created, the better the rate of return and brand affinity.
