This is particularly important when dealing with organizations that provide services to populations in mental health, suicide prevention, and substance use work. In this example rather than output performance, we can equate it to empathy shown to the end-user or consumer. Empathize with those you support and they in turn will feel more capable to extend that empathy out to those they interact with.
