Most types of dementia are progressive and impact a person’s memory and thinking, making it more difficult for them to function and complete tasks. 👉 4.3 million people 55+ who have cognitive impairment or dementia live alone in the United States. Studies show that half of those surveyed struggle with daily tasks like bathing or cooking, yet only a third receive any assistance. Without support, seniors with declining cognitive abilities face serious consequences. They may struggle with essential tasks — leading to social isolation, malnutrition, and vulnerability to exploitation. Ultimately, their health may deteriorate unnoticed, and dementia can go undiagnosed. Read more from KFF Health News in the link below. 👇 If you or someone you know is struggling with cognitive impairment and not sure where to go, we invite you to join Remo’s free online Community where you can get guidance from dementia experts, caregivers, and others impacted by dementia. → www.remo.health/community #dementia #dementiacare #dementiaguidance #caregiver #dementiaawareness
