Regence Chief Medical Officer Dr. Donna Milavetz shared a personal story in her keynote at today's #GoRedForWomen lunch in Portland — about how heart disease's impact on her own family led her to become a physician who helps empower women to take control of their health. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States, yet it is highly preventable. Milavetz urged attendees to take it seriously: Make your annual wellness visits and encourage other women to do the same. “Together we can make a difference and save lives,” she said. Special thanks to the American Heart Association of Oregon for hosting this inspiring conversation. ❤️ #PDXGoesRed
