Thank you to the Boston Steelcase & Red Thread Teams for hosting our team at the work-life showroom earlier this week for a pre-Halloween lunch. 👻 We had insightful conversations, a ‘Furniture 101’ with best practices, and an amazing showroom tour. It's always great to get out of the office to see new workplace trends we can share with our clients! We will be back again soon... #fusiondesign #lunchnlearn #steelcaseboston #redthreadspaces #networking #boston #architecture

#WallWednesdaySpotlight: Confidential Investment Firm – Stamford, CT 📍 For this project, we installed 300 linear feet of #Everwall by Steelcase, featuring sleek horizontal designs, tinted film, and frameless doors to enhance privacy and security. The team worked closely with the AV provider for seamless room scheduler integration. Spaces included conference rooms, huddle areas, and private offices—all completed in under a week to minimize disruption! 📸: Andrea Carson Photography Partners: Locus Design Collaborative, Blackwell Construction 👏 #OfficeDesign #WorkplaceInnovation #PrivacySolutions #DemountableWalls #StamfordCT #Efficiency

Thank you to everyone who attended the CHES (CT Healthcare Engineers' Society) Laura’s Law presentation last Friday at Red Thread in East Hartford. A special thank you to Loreen Zaccaro and Dawn Monde from Red Thread for hosting our group! Thank you to our sponsors, Environmental Health & Engineering and 24 Restore. Of course, a special thank you to our panel of speakers including Peter DeMarco, Boston Globe writer and husband of Laura Levy, Kristin Pitocco of EH&E, and Darrell Boling of St. Vincent’s Hospital. The three seamlessly shared the story of Laura Levis, Peter’s wife, who died suddenly in 2016 after she unsuccessfully tried to enter CHA Somerville Hospital and came up against a locked door. Laura’s Law was passed in Massachusetts in 2021 and regulates and standardizes lighting, way-finding and other elements related to patient access at hospitals in Massachusetts. Darrell and Kristin shared what they did to implement all facets of Laura’s Law at St. Vincent’s Hospital. I am awaiting the recording of the session and will forward that along as soon as I receive it. We are working diligently to plan out some valuable sessions for 2025 and, to kick off the year, we will host a holiday social event in early to mid-January. Stay tuned for details. Lastly, we wouldn’t be a chapter without a Board. Thank you to the CHES Board Members: John Lombardi, Reaghan Schicker, and Matt Griswald! Thanks to everyone who made this event a success.
