Tailwinds Brewing Company gathered with RCEDC, the Greater Union Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Bower Design & Construction for their groundbreaking ceremony yesterday in Union Grove. RCEDC worked with the owners of Tailwinds to secure a grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) for this project. This project was also approved for two different loans through Business Lending Partners (BLP). GRANT OPPORTUNITY: Wisconsin Fast Forward Program The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development's Office of Skills Development is accepting applications for Industry Sectors Worker Training Grants until October 28 at 3 p.m. CST. Open to all industries, grants range from $5,000 to $400,000, with consortium applicants eligible for more. A 50% cash or in-kind match is required, and at least 85% of trainees must complete the program. Additionally, 65% of trainees should secure relevant positions, and 75% of incumbent trainees should see wage increases.
