🌈 Welcome to the Rainbow Labs Team, Keyona! 🌈 We're thrilled to introduce our newest team member, Keyona (she/her), who joins us as our Programming Associate! 🎉 Keyona Lampley is a Los Angeles native with a deep-seated passion for numbers and their influence on our lives. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Keyona has devoted much of her career to exploring the realms of mathematics, astrology, and numerology, seeking to understand and articulate the profound impact these disciplines can have on personal and community growth. Having worked with children in various capacities throughout her career, Keyona is committed to educational and personal development, using her expertise in numbers to inspire and engage young minds. Her approach is heavily influenced by her own youth, which was marked by challenges that she bravely overcame. This background gives her a unique perspective on adversity and triumph, enabling her to connect with and uplift those who face similar hardships. Keyona's journey through difficult circumstances has fueled her dedication to helping others navigate their paths with resilience and wisdom. Through her work, she aims to empower individuals, especially the youth, providing them with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and succeed in life. Her story is one of triumph over adversity, driven by a profound belief in the power of education and self-belief. What I expect to learn from time with Rainbow Labs is a different way of being, how kids deal with society and ways of connection. "Growing up, I lacked ways of feeling inclusive, the courage to speak up for what I wanted and the need for self-creative expression was dominant. Rainbow Labs mission embodies a space to feel loved. The staff here are one of a kind. Their different experiences and prospectives help develop a brighter future for our next generation of leaders. For these reasons, I feel I’m in the right place at the right time."✨

Testimonials are in! But first... We want to reflect on our One Bold Summer Programming as summer inevitably comes to a close. Over eight weeks, roughly 50 Q.G.N.C. youth (ages 13-17) in Los Angeles were paired with our 10 Q.G.N.C. mentors for summer-filled activities. The programming was designed to specifically inspire youth to be unapologetically bold while deciphering their authentic selves along the way with each other in a genuine and connective way. According to youth and mentors, the summer was an unforgettable and unmatched experience. We want to thank everyone involved, especially our programming team, for spending months coordinating and planning so this year's OBS could be as exceptional as it was. Thank you to our mentors for dedicating yourselves and your time to providing wisdom and capacity for this year's mentees. And thank you to the youth—it's all for you. H.A.G.S. (Hope you had A Great Summer!) From the Rainbow Labs Team🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🤎🖤

🎉 Wishing Adree All the Best! 🎉 Today, we bid farewell to Adree, one of Rainbow Labs' most innovative and dedicated team members. Over the past two years, Adree has been a driving force behind some of our most impactful programs, including the Storytelling Lab, Youth Council, and Sports Lab. Their work with the Sports Lab, in particular, has been monumental, engaging over 250+ LGBTQ+ youth and contributing to the creation of one of the only LGBTQ+ and Gender Expansive friendly youth softball teams in the nation, in partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. Adree's impact on the LGBTQ+ community is a source of pride for us all. While we're sad to see Adree leave, we're incredibly proud of all they've achieved and excited for their next adventure as a Volunteer Coordinator at EmpowHer Institute. Let's show Adree some love! If you've had the pleasure of working with them, leave a comment to share your memories and well wishes. 🌈💪 #RainbowLabs #LGBTQYouth #FarewellAdree #EmpowerHER #CommunityLeadership
