QUEERSPACE collective creates space for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and empowered to be their true selves. Through QUEERSPACE hangouts, our intergenerational program connecting LGBTQ+ youth with LGBTQ+ adults, youth develop increased self-esteem and a greater sense of belonging, cultural identity and pride. Our vision is for all LGBTQ+ youth to have a supportive community to help them develop a strong sense of pride in who they are, where they come from and where they want to go!

We're proud to have been part of St. Cloud Pride's 15th Annual Pride Week celebration! Our Sr. Program Manager, Mandy Rubink, represented QUEERSPACE collective at Pride in the Park, a vibrant festival held at Lake George. The event featured over 100 vendors, live music, delicious food, fun games, and even a Puppy Parade, bringing together the local 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies for a day of joy and connection. We're thankful for the opportunity to share space with the community, spreading the word about our mission to create safe, inclusive spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to feel empowered to be their true selves. It’s moments like these that remind us how important it is to celebrate and support one another in the fight for equality!
Our Fall Town Hall last week was a great success! 🙌🏽 We gathered virtually with our amazing community to share exciting updates about the future of QUEERSPACE collective, including a deep dive into our new 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Center. WOW! We've truly come a long way from the first blueprints of our 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Center to assembling furniture with incredible volunteer crews from Lowe's Companies, Inc., Heart of America, and Gay For Good, and hosting our first event with community foundation leaders. But, there’s still so much more to do. Across the country, 2SLGBTQIA+ youth face immense challenges. Here in the Twin Cities, our community has expressed a deep need for a dedicated space where Queer and Trans youth can find safety, support, and belonging. On October 13th, we’re opening our new 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Center to answer that call. This center will be a safe and welcoming hub for connection, mentorship, and growth, built by and for the community. We invite you to join our Create The Space Campaign where we're raising $650,000 to build and equip this vital space and support its first year of operations.
