🚀 Calling all Portland-area volunteers! 🚀 This November, the PSBA is hosting an AI Bootcamp for high school students run by the Mark Cuban Foundation. We're looking for passionate volunteers and mentors to help high school students explore the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. No prior AI or programming experience needed—just a love for working with students and a basic understanding of computers! 📅 Key Dates: 🗓️ Saturday, Nov 2 🗓️ Saturday, Nov 9 🗓️ Saturday, Nov 16 ⏰ Time: 11 AM – 4 PM (Lunch + snacks provided!) Want to get involved? You can join us for one day or all three! When I first moved to Portland in 2013, I was so impressed by the community and events around town to help founders get to the next stage of their business. One in particular was Startup Weekend. The 48-hour hackathon helped give founders thinking about building something, a weekend to see how far they could get with their idea. Many of these events happened at the Portland State University Business Accelerator building on SW Corbett. I remember how these events were always well-attended and provided the community with a chance to see a bunch of early-stage startups. Sadly, Hacklandia will be the last hackathon at the SW Corbett building as the building is closing by the end of the year.
