Big news to share today! It was an exciting week here at Pronto as we announced to the world the work we've been doing with Heidelberg Materials and Komatsu North America. We couldn’t be prouder or more excited about the road ahead for us and off-road autonomy in general. Pronto has been focused on the mining and quarrying markets since 2021 because, unlike on-road environments, autonomous vehicle technology is mature enough to safely commercialize fully driverless in those settings.    It’s an industry that generates over $1 trillion of revenue per year and automating haulage helps solve a critical challenge facing the global economy.   As we move towards carbon-neutral forms of energy, massive incremental volumes of transition minerals need to be produced, at the same time the industry is facing an acute labor shortage that is projected to only get worse over the coming decades.   In a world where everything is either grown or mined, Pronto’s Autonomous Haulage System is playing an essential role in ensuring everything that is mined will be extracted in a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and safe way.   The future of mobility is autonomous and I’m thrilled to be working with the absolute best team in the business… thank you to Construction Equipment magazine for the great coverage this week!
