Preparing Tomorrow's Engineers Today!
About us
Project SYNCERE prepares the minds and creates pathways for underrepresented students to pursue careers in STEM. Our programs ensure students from underserved communities have access to opportunities that will inspire and prepare them for future careers in STEM. Through our project-based learning curriculum, Project SYNCERE has provided STEM education for over 30,000 students throughout Chicago. Our programs provide students with year-round opportunities to gain an understanding of engineering-based principles and recognize how they are connected to everything around them. These opportunities are actively increasing the number of underrepresented students engaging in the STEM fields and pursuing STEM degrees. Through our programs, we are helping to move the needle forward in changing the face of STEM.

Inspiring to see our Executive Director, Jason Coleman, connecting with fellow STEM leaders at the #STEMConnector conference in Las Vegas! 🙌 He is dedicated to shaping equitable pathways for students in #STEM. We're proud to have him leading the charge! #EquityInSTEM #WomenInSTEM #STEMeducation
It's been a fantastic two days here in Las Vegas, NV at the STEM Connector conference, connecting with so many incredible leaders in STEM who are shaping students' pathways at all levels! It’s been an enriching experience discussing the challenges and opportunities around policy, industry, academia, and K-12 education. Hearing how other organizations are thinking about scaling their impact, especially for girls and women in STEM, while ensuring that it’s done through an equitable lens, has been truly inspiring. A huge shoutout to Eva Giglio from the CME Foundation for the invite and to Becky Goldberg from Illinois Science and Technology Coalition for a job well done on her panel discussing STEM workforce programs. 👏 #STEMconnector #STEMInnovation #EquityInSTEM #WomenInSTEM #FutureOfWork #STEMeducation #Networking #STEMLeadership Project SYNCERE #engineeringeducation

This summer, Project SYNCERE students had an exciting opportunity to explore engineering using the Air Pollution Engineering Box, generously provided by the James Dyson Foundation. This hands-on curriculum helped students understand how engineers can address critical global challenges like air pollution. It’s programs like these that inspire the next generation of problem-solvers! #ProjectSYNCERE #Engineering #Innovation #STEM #education
